CVAP

You might be eligible for financial aid if a violent crime caused you to suffer physical or psychological harm.
Afsah Ahmed provides direct billing services and is a licensed service provider for the BC Ministry of Justice’s Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). In order to help victims, immediate family members, and some witnesses deal with the ramifications of violent crime, CVAP provides assistance. These consequences may result in trauma that lasts a lifetime in addition to feelings like loss, grief, and psychiatric damage. The development of coping skills and methods to control and eliminate these symptoms might be aided by counselling.

To Apply for Funding:
You must complete this Application Form. Once approved, the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) will provide you with a claim number. You do not have to wait for charges to be laid or for the offender to be convicted before applying for benefits. For more information on Crime Victim Assistance Program click here or call (604) 660-3888 (toll free 1-866-660-3888) or email cvap@gov.bc.ca.
